Quite hilariously though, I found this page using Brandwatch, a social media monitoring tool

there are layers of social media research. As there are layers to any type of research.

Monitoring is just the crusty outer layer that you peel off and throw in the bin before getting to the juicy stuff that makes your eyes water.
