I walked past plenty of Halloween decorations this weekend. But it struck me that the current newspaper headlines feel spookier than any of them.
Instead of the same-old ghosts, skeletons, and witch costumes rampant on Halloween, I thought it would be fun to imagine a real fright night for anyone who works in marketing: kids dressed up as the credit crunch, consumer belt tightening, or your bonus up in flames.
This is kind the same spirit as this Christmas cartoon I drew a couple years ago.
No cartoon last week, in case you were searching. I was on holiday (our 10th wedding anniversary actually) and traded in my cartoons for watercolors of little French towns. Nice break from 2009 planning, that's for sure.

Hey Tom! Happy Anniversary! (belated).
Love this week’s cartoon – aboslutely on the money, or lack of it … boom boom.
Catch you soon,
Jon
